[Miyako takes a deep breath. Okay, this woman is clearly as irritated by all this as she is, which is good. She can get an ally out of her. Her expression is still one of irritation, but Miyako's voice has become polite and largely agreeable.]
I have no desire to remain in this room and every desire to get out. I will happily accept your offer of aid. My apologies for my earlier tone.
[She tightens the grip on the back of her gown.]
While I prioritize finding a way out, if you happen to know where I may find proper clothing here, please let me know. This gown is...inappropriate.
[She takes the coat with obvious appreciation. No more awkward almost nudity! After she puts it on, she looks less tense, albeit still far from relaxed. She crosses her arms and takes up a stance that screams she's used to being listened to.]
Thank you, I greatly appreciate it, Miss...
Ah, forgive me. I am Miyako Hotsuin. I have only recently arrived, both to this...ViViD level as well as Cerealia as a whole.
[She'll have to explain it, because Miyako's got no idea how to, and she's never played a video game before, either.]
I see... Would you mind explaining how one would go about logging out? My only previous encounter with ViViD did so for me automatically, and I cannot seem to replicate the process.
[Miyako does so, even closing her eyes to better concentrate, but... Nothing. Nada. She's still here, very much not logged out. She opens her eyes again, looking irritated.]
...Unless I am doing something incorrectly, I cannot log out. I could feel some sort of resistance during my attempt, so I believe the error does not lie on my end. [She sighs.] How vexing.
I see. They expect me to accomplish some goal before I am given my freedom. I have no idea as to what that might be, but considering our environment...
[She looks around the examination room and the medical equipment, then at the chart. She grimaces before going to pick it up.]
Perhaps they expect me to be treated for these ridiculous "hiccdowns".
Shepard

You don't have to apologize.
[But she nods, and then takes off her doctor's coat to give it to her.]
Here, put this on in the meantime. It might help.

[She used to people who're used to being listened to...so she doesn't mind it at all.]
You can call me Shepard. We're all kind of new to this particular ViVid level -- we just have to get out of it before we see Cerealia in general.
no subject
Well then, Miss Shepard, do you have any ideas on how to leave this place? I assume the front doors would not be sufficient.

Normally you can just log out, but ViViD also has a tendency to be pretty...strange.
["Strange" is so putting it lightly.]
There might be something to find here anyway, but I'd understand if you just want to try to log out entirely.
[Which she'll tell her how to, if she wants.]

And she'll explain the process. When she's done with that:]
If you can't do it now, I'll stay here until you can.
[Just in case.]

Then it's probably not you. You'll be able to, but you might just have to do something else here first.
[It would make sense...kind of.]
